Catherine Jaeger, PTO Board Contact Yard Duty Chairs: Lara Dye Help supervise lunch recess activities and games. This is a terrific way to spend time with students at school! (ongoing) Sponsor A Book Chairs: Coordinate program in which families purchase books to add to the library collection in honor of someone special. (ongoing) Library Maintenance Volunteer Chairs: Volunteer in the library to help maintain the books. (ongoing) Library Volunteer Schedule Coordinator Chairs: Allison Chao Identifies and schedules volunteers to staff the library. (ongoing) Library Shift Volunteer Chairs: Allison Chao Working a library shift (usually during your child’s scheduled library time or a lunch shift). Help check in and out books, shelve books, help students locate books, and perform shelf care. Each shift ~ 1.25 hours, every other week (1-2 people per shift). (ongoing) Fine Arts Show Chairs: Design and construct a display of all students’ art in the Multi for May Open House, working under the direction of Barbara Cottrell, Artist-in-Residence. (spring) Room Parent Coordinators Chairs: Jody Buckley & Neela Gentile Co-chairs manage process to identify grade-level coordinators and room parents each year. Help facilitate communication to this group throughout the year. Grade Level Coordinators Chairs: Jody Buckley & Neela Gentile Organize Room Parents for a specific grade and communicate information about Oak Knoll activities. Plan one grade-level family event. (mostly in fall; some ongoing) Room Parent Volunteers Chairs: Jody Buckley & Neela Gentile Work with classroom teacher to arrange field trips, communicate with other parents, coordinate classroom volunteers, and manage class parties/activities. (ongoing) MPAEF Ambassador Chairs: Help spread the word about our wonderful Menlo Park Atherton Education Foundation. Please consider being a MPAEF ambassador for your classroom next year. The ambassador job is very fun, easier than ever this year, and extremely rewarding! (ongoing) Special Interest To Share Chairs: I have the following interest/expertise to share (e.g., art, music, carpentry, computers, desk-top publishing, fundraising, gardening, health, law, math, science, writing, etc.). Please include any foreign language fluency.
